We primarily utilize a 16 Hyde Low Profile drift boat, which is set up for two anglers. The boat is well equipped with lots of dry storage, rod holders and comfortable seats for nonfishing time.
UPPER BOW RIVER:
We use a variety of sections of the Bow, depending on the season, and the trip length desired.
Full day: Start time is dependent upon the time of year, but we fish about 8+ hours ending at dusk. This is a full day and may involve fishing a couple of stretches of the river in conjunction with stops to fish some of the best holes. Seasonally, we may start and end earlier to catch the prevailing hatches. If you are under stricter timing constraints then we can tailor a trip to your needs, although we really do need at least 5 or 6 hours due to access point distances.
**** NOTE: Start and ending time of day may vary slightly with the season. At our latitude darkness does not arrive until nearly 11:00 p.m. at the end of June. We then loose about 4 minutes per day, with darkness coming about 7:00 p.m. by the end of our normal season.
